Terrain360.com Unveils New User Interface

Terrain360 announced today the release of its new graphical user interface for www.terrain360.com. The website for interactive panoramic 360° tours of trails, waterways and national parks now boasts an improved user interface, a set of useful new features, easier and faster navigation, taking user experience to a whole new level. The improvements have been designed to provide the ultimate user-friendly experience with better functionality throughout.

The interface is essential to how users experience content. Along with constantly improving  content and adding new maps and trails to explore, hotspots and access points, we also focus on how users interact with the website and try to detect what we could do better. We also design new features for more comfort. This is a result of talking with users and gaining valuable feedback,” Terrain360 cofounder Ryan Abrahamsen said. “We avoid massive change in existing structures, make the redesign slow and subtle, gradually, retaining every key element of the initial website design. Never drastically erase what current users are already used to.

On the new website you’ll find a nice new navigation bar that, along with its cool new look, is an easy and intuitive shortcut to the main website categories – maps and trails. If you are not willing to browse the maps and trails or you’re searching for a specific nature feature, you could just use the search field on top of menu.

The tours navigation and the whole experience feel much faster and smoother. The new trails interface now features a left-side panel with a bigger map box to track your position and a compact elevation curve that does not cover the view on the trail. For the same purpose, the direction line is replaced with a more discreet trail title line.

In addition to all that, users can enjoy a new snapshot option that captures the view without the interface buttons and panels. The snapshot can be downloaded in jpg format. You can share it on socials or save hotspot images for planning your trip.
